The burden of proof is that of the athlete. Questions regarding registering with USASA should be directed to Lauren with the Snow Series.

How to join: New or Renewing members for the full membership need to join online. When you join online, you will be given the following options: select the “Upper Midwest Snow  Series” and then select “snowboarde or skierr” rather than “open snowboarder or free skier” (unless your are competing in Open Class, which is only for the very, very advanced rider). Here is an explanation of 2  options of membership.

Membership Options:
Every rider practicing or competing in any USASA sanctioned event must attain USASA membership prior to participating. Memberships can be purchased online or at an event. There are 3 types of memberships available, which are as follows:

A. One Day membership: Not planning on competing much or really unsure of competing. This membership is intended for riders that only want to compete for one day but have no intention of becoming a full member of USASA for the season or qualifying for the National Championships. It is valid for one (1) day at any USASA sanctioned event(s). This membership allows riders to participate in practice and competitions for 1 day ONLY, yet NO USASA points will be awarded or transferable at a later date. This membership does not allow you to pre-register, so if the event you are interested in is a Pre-registration only event (most slopestyles), you will need to take your chances on the day of the event for entry into the event. Membership is purchased on the day of the event.

B. Full membership: $85-$100 – Fee's go up by November, so sign up early. This membership is valid for one (1) full membership
season at any USASA sanctioned event. Points will be earned toward Regional and National rankings and the rider can qualify for the National Championships. Full members will receive an official membership packet by mail including a membership card, stickers, and other benefits.

Registration:
For all USASA events, registration is done online. Event fee is $35 per event if you pre-register in advanced or $45 on site if space is available.
